Getting Started

SeedTrust is an escrow management portal for surrogacy journeys. It handles the money flow between intended parents (who deposit funds), gestational carriers and egg donors (who receive compensation), and the agencies that manage the process.

The portal serves two distinct audiences:

  • External clients — IPs, GCs, Egg Donors, and Agencies who interact with their cases
  • Internal staff — Contracts, Payments, Legal, Credit Card, Accounting teams who manage operations

The prototype is live at seedtrust.pages.dev.

It includes a Role Switcher that lets you view the app as different user types:

  • Admin roles: Super Admin, Contracts Team, Payments Team
  • Client roles: Intended Parent, Gestational Carrier, Egg Donor, Agency

The Role Switcher is visible in the bottom-left corner on desktop. It is intentionally hidden on mobile screens — the client portals (GC, Egg Donor) are designed as mobile-first experiences and the switcher would interfere with one-handed use.

Each role sees a different version of the portal with role-appropriate navigation and features. Use this to experience the product from each user’s perspective.

Before diving into features, understand these core concepts:

  • Case — one surrogacy journey, linking an IP, GC, and Agency together
  • Disbursement Request (DR) — a request to release funds from escrow (submitted by GCs, Agencies, or Admin staff)
  • GSA — Gestational Surrogacy Agreement, the legal contract defining compensation terms
  • Milestone — a journey event (e.g., “Confirmed Pregnant”) that triggers payment eligibility
  • Disbursement Type — a category of expense (e.g., “Base Compensation”) with a default amount

See the full Terminology for all domain terms.
